Exciting outdoor activities for young people and adults
Through outdoor activities we inspire young people and adults to explore the outdoors and develop confidence in our high ropes and quad pole challenge. Outdoor activities build teamwork skills and trust by navigating through our nightline course and we encourage you to get adventurous on the water in kayaks, canoes, coracles and rafts.
First Aid Courses
Our fully trained staff can offer a range of First Aid courses including First Aid at Work, 1 day and 3 day courses, plus the “Mini Medics” – a First Aid course designed for young first aiders to learn the basic techniques and help save a life.
Book a brilliant and fun day with family, friends or work colleagues at one of our centres. Challenge your group to race to the sky building the tallest tower on our crate stack and get four people to the top of our 8 metre quad pole. Build teamwork and personal skills, develop trust and long-term friendships.
Our Outdoor Activities
The perfect way to burn off excess excitement and energy before bed, groups are lead out onto the hills. Just one of many evening sessions on offer.
Using the historic grounds at Eastnor Castle, visitors to our Malvern centre can sledge all year round. A firm favourite for all ages and abilities, regularly used by Special Needs groups, without the need for snow!
Coming in 2019 Bell Heath will have its own purpose made grass sledging hill. Contact the team for more details.
Supervised by highly qualified staff, participants learn how to use the equipment for abseiling, and find the courage to step out over the edge and walk backwards down the rock face.
A great introduction to watersports, encouraging all ages and abilities to gain the confidence on the water, and enabling differing levels of exertion from moderate to extreme.
A fantastic experience on the water with large purpose-built bell boats providing stable seating for up to 12 students in each craft including wheelchair users.
Learn boat control and gain confidence in the water before embarking on a journey along the River Avon.
Raft and Coracle Building
New for this year at our Bell Heath centre, our 20 metre pool is the perfect spot to build and float in handmade rafts and coracles. Test your engineering skills and boatbuilding handywork on the water in your finished craft whilst learning the art of coracle paddling.
Low Level Ropes
An activity requiring working with a partner, balance and cooperation as key features.
A unique set of 10 metre high artificial rock pinnacles at our Malvern centre and a 12 metre wooden climbing tower at Bell Heath, deliver a safe and challenging climbing experience as individuals and team-based challenge activities.
Experience the thrilling adrenalin rush and sense of achievement in a safe environment.
High and low ropes
This excting team challenge climbing through the treetops or swinging around like monkeys. These exciting challenges are great at pushing your limits and bringing teams together.
With group support the Jacob’s Ladder, Quad Pole, Trapeze Jump and High Balance Beam encourage teamwork and individual self-confidence.
Nightline and Tunnels
Working in small teams or pairs whilst blindfolded to lead each other through our Nightline and Tunnels, building trust, communication and support skills.
Developing social skills and encouraging teamwork by learning how to build shelters, light fires and some essential survival and bushcraft skills including making bread.
Stimulating archery and air rifle activities for testing and developing personal confidence whilst ensuring strict adherence to essential codes of discipline involved in the sport of shooting.
A challenge designed to develop integrity, cooperation and leadership through problem-solving and teamwork. Test personal initiative, drawing on both physical and mental skills to achieve mutual goals.
Acquire valuable map reading and navigational skills in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside amongst the Malvern, Clent and Waseley Hills.
